Wren Fishing Pty Ltd has been working with Fishlistics to develop and implement a Fishery Improvement Program. The FIPS program engages fishing stakeholders to improve our fishery’s practices and management to meet the MSC Fisheries Standard. The FIPS program is ready to be uploaded and launched at FisheryProgress.org in September.
David is an active as a member of the Gulf of Carpentaria Inshore Fishery (GOCIF) working group, which meets regularly. This group is working closely with Queensland Fisheries to ensure the ongoing sustainability of the Gulf Fishery.
David is also currently the Chairman of the Gulf of Carpentaria Commercial Fishermen Association (GOCCFA).
